  • "This edition is a reprint of the Peters Edition, so you will save considerable amounts of money by buying this! However, the editing, especially in The Seasons cycle leaves much to be desired. There is a tendency to overedit, to the point that the composer's intentions are obscured. Suggestion: Alfred's edition of The Seasons (ed. Hinson), is actually closer to the original. Another good urtext choice (with no fingering or editing) is the Konemann. On the positive side: this Dover edition contains many short pieces (including the wonderful Dumka) that are difficult to obtain otherwise..."
