"Now this piece is really fun to play. I mean, if you have the skills then you should whip it up pretty quickly, but if you're not an everyday violinist then this is quite challenging. Paganini's Twenty-Four Caprices are still my favorites...allthough this is just behind and running fast. To comment on other reviews...the theme is an intermediate level with flowing doublestops. But every other variation is quite difficult..if you play the piece the way it's written, with left hand pitz' and grace notes. Variation 5 (Pope's Concert) is my favorite, and right behind it is the Gypsy style Variation 2 (Pope's Gypsy Cadenza). If your aspiring to become a musician, GET IT!"

"Awesome music! The theme is at an intermediate level, but the variations are very advanced. If you are looking for some challenging solo music, this is it."

"these 6 songs are the perfect choice for an advancing student, or a concert performer. these pieces have a large range of difficulty, but is fun for almost all age groups. the chords and grace notes in practically every piece challenge the violinist as well as give the music a feeling that will arouse your five senses. the Baroque, Gypsy, and arch-Romantic themes through out the book give the performer a chance to try different styles through time as well as styles from different places. the Red Violin Caprices is also a great practice book with lessons on tone , rhythm, and a lot of intonation work.i have only spent a few days with this book, and it has rekindled my love for the violin, and now i can't put either of the two down."
