  • "Anything to do with Nirvana or Kurt Cobain has to be good. No questions ask"

  • "Like most other people said, NIRVANA IS NOT A BASS BAND (although it does make it sound really good). I got this book 2 years ago when i didn't even know how to hold a guitar and now i'm doing Hendrix with ease (I'm in no way saying that I am close to his genius, i only play his songs). What I'm trying to say is that the book was very inspirational and even though people say that it's "overrated" it doesn't make it any less great. Of course there are glitches, I mean just by watching Teen Spirit video you can tell that the verse line is played on the G and B not the B and E, but don't complain about it like the other guys, just fix it. Just buy it, learn it, and enjoy it. Nirvana comes from within!"

  • "This is for the tab book. Not all tab books are right, hell, a lot of the times they're wrong. It's no big deal, but they're not always right. Especially the Matchbox 20 tab books and their out of place capos... And the people that said nirvana is a bass band, you're dumber than the other two. A nirvana song sounds like a nirvana song. Guy who said it bass parts are based on guitar chords, you're right, and In Bloom proves it"

  • "With music as dirt simple as this, you might as well just learn it some other way. Perhaps if the book were perfectly accurate, there'd be an argument for getting it, but it isn't. In two or three places, the guitar parts are dead wrong, the guy didn't even bother to transcribe a couple things he should have, and a lot of the prescribed fingerings are just plain dumb. Even right after I bought this book 5 years ago, I could tell it was mediocre. "In Utero," AIC's "Facelift," and Soundgarden's "Superunknown" are similar, but infinitely superior books for novice players."
